Deep, meaty, blood/ruby. Modest paler rim showing some orange. Warm, earthy, ripe berry nose scented with wild flowers. Mouth entry is supple and ripely fruited, almost sweet. Mid-palate shows good structure and acidity, keeping it fresh through to a long finish. Not complex, but very nicely put together. Top ** **

(Perrot-Minot Morey St. Denis "En Ru de la Vergy") This was clearly well made but in a style I do not care for. It never could really get rid of it's California profile. Loads of jammmy concentrated fruit. Red bordering on black. Lush mouthfeel and some interesting spice on the nose but not enough to keep me really interested. Anonymous spoofilated Burgundy. Oh.. .well.

Dark fruit, lots of spice. Angular in the mouth and a bit dry on the finish. Nice complexity.

A nice wine, but nothing special.

Ma Cuisine: This was another very good bottle. Good terroir driven wine w/med. bod, good lite spice notes. Notes: “animal, dark berry, silky, rich.”
