Highly pleasant, subtle smooth village wine. In no rush to drink. Paired against 1991 diamond creek, and father-in-law preferred this. Me the diamond creek. Lamb chops, polenta, beans.

I was surprised this wasn't close to being ready. This should probably br a nice wine in three to five years. I was concerned about the oak, but not an issue.
Took a while to open up, but when it did there was an appealing, mellow earthy nose with hints of red fruit. Silky soft burgundy texture, and quite a lot of tannins, considering that it's entering its tenth year. Great villlage burg.
Lovely village burg for year.
