Plenty of coffee on the nose, whiffs off with air and better temperature as the wine settles. The oak is integrated, there is an underlying sweetness. Grenache speaks, but also Lirac in terms og some minerality. Mature - and i would opt to drink up within a couple of years or so. #Bagnols-en-Forêts

Tasted alongside the 2001 Chateauneuf, both bought en primeur from the Domaine. This was showing very well, great colour, on the palate the fruit is subdued but still there and the whole is round and balanced. At the end of its drinking plateau I’d say but a lovely wine that is great value alongside its big brother and well worth laying down.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Slightly jammy black fruits without being too sweet, liquorice, pepper, cocoa notes. Powerful enough but everything is well integrated. The final brings a little freshness.

WOW nose of wild game, leather, soy sauce, cèpes de Bordeaux, cerise du Nord...Super refreshing red cherries du Nord with ripe finish, hint of mineral, great great wine!
