Plum, bell pepper, soaked wood, along with some menthol. The palate is more fruit driven, with silky tannins and balanced acidity. Oak flavors and sweet vanilla come up on the finish.

Simple, straightforward and nicely balanced with a tart acidic backbone that makes this a food friendly wine. Nothing terribly complex but no off notes either, with bright dark cherry notes. Relatively thin mouthfeel and moderate finish. Nice for the $18 price.

70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Some red berries, bell pepper, good acidity and slightly sticky tannin. Ok wine.

A nice daily drinker. Opened up after a few hours. Dark fruit, some chocolate notes. Very smooth tannins. For $16, a great buy.
