(FONTANAFREDDA La Rosa BAROLO) Barolo Dear Friends, This offer speaks for itself. If you are looking for value at the top end, both examples below provide an opportunity to enjoy aged Nebbiolo at less than their original release price (not to mention far less than their current release price, which I believe is closer to $90 for the 2006). Each vintage has its appeal and it's an interesting study to watch them evolve over an entire evening. Both are ready to drink now and over the next several years. A deal in aged Barolo? That's typically an oxymoron but I believe tonight's offer qualifies. Due to limited quantities, I'll leave it at that: 1998 Fontanafredda Barolo "La Rosa" 2000 Fontanafredda Barolo "La Rosa" This parcel has impeccable provenance. Nez de poivre, fleurs, touche de vinaigre, cuir de tannage, cerise. Une bouche plus agréable que le nez, longue, assez complexe.
