A more subtle style of Sauvignon Blanc that is both light and refreshing. Pear, apple and a hint of spice set off with medium acidity and good balance. A very nice mid week drinker.

Simi usually delivers on the QPR and this bottle is no exception. A typical SB nose that has enough complexity to make it enjoyable to play with.
The pallet is crisp and refreshing with citrus and melon flavors. It paired well with the oven roasted chicken that we served between August thunderstorms, as well as with the chilled gummi bears we served the kids for dessert.

As a big fan of Sauvignon Blanc, I'm just loving this. Simi does not have to produce Sauvignon Blanc if they don't feel the need. They used their considerable skill and connections to bring home some good grapes, treat them right, and we the consumers reap the rewards. As Sauvignon Blanc goes, this one is big, while maintaining it's subtle delicacy. We get some grass and gooseberry on the nose, but it is very civilized and controlled. There is a concentrated feeling to the wide array of white fruit on the palate from gooseberry, lemon, melon, ripe pear and apple. A little spicy. Refreshing, but civilized acid. The grapes just seem optimally ripe. Solid, classy finish with a lifted, ripe fruitiness balanced just right.

Light and grassy with overtones of melon and citrus with good acidity. Kiwi style SB and most enjoyable.
