Sweet tart, little bit of mint & pomegranate on the nose. The palate is a little lean but also a bit creamy, some red berries, sage, licorice. Nice finish though on the short side. Still very much alive, probably past prime, but better than one might expect from this producer, though I like the '82 better. Paired up with an '83 Gruaud Larose, the Bdx was clearly the better wine, but this drank very well with sausage, pepper, onion, mushroom pizza for lunch!
