Opened and poured. Medium bodied zin, showing peppers and blacks. Sold offering that gained traction with air. Not too hot. Nice fruit but not too flabby. Showing some plummy secondaries. Solid.

If thesis what an old vine zin can be with some age on it, I'm all in. Wow. This was delicious. The red and black fruits are beautiful and the tannins and alcohol provide just enough bite. The pepper and brambly flavors I move in Papera zins sing in this wine and a hint of something resembling graphite appears. The finish held on forever.

Dark ruby color. Brambly berries, pepper, vanilla, black cherries, licorice, a touch of earthiness and a nice floral note on the very open and inviting nose. Full body with ripe tannins and nice acidity. Loaded with rich and peppery berries on the palate. Ripe but not syrupy. Very Carlisle like. Nice length on the finish. Seems to have improved from last bottle, close to a year ago. Drinking very nicely.

A very impressive bottle of zinfandel. It shows incredible Russian River Zinfandel fruit with perfect balance. An impressive Zinfandel!
