Amazing that a $9 bottle bought at the Liqour Barn in CA in 1988 could have lasted and tasted this good. Medium garnet color, slight brick on the edge, rich nose of chocolate, black currant, eucalyptus and some grassy earthiness. On the palate it has medium weight and some tart cherry along with the chocolate and black currant. Aftertaste is not too long but has a bit of the eucalyptus on the finish. With MPL at one and Wine bar. Good Ruby color. Pretty decent legs. Good fruit in the nose. Varietal. Flavor is complex, evolving on the pallet. Rich, rounded fruit. Good, not special. 4-10-14-7: 85/100.
