Pretty much the same as the last tasting notes., though I don't rate it quite so highly. Different food (Spag Bol) this time may have affected the appreciation?

Colour: Deep red with purplish edge. Nose: Currents, blackberry, lavender and menthol. Palette: Black current, red current, blackberry, nutmeg, pepper, creamy menthol finish. Quite a long finish. Very well made varietal wine with quite a long life ahead of it but drinking extremely well now.

Dark, syrupy nose of aniseed, lavender, and blackcurrant, with notes of cola and allspice. Palate shows sweet, concentrated fruit (blackcurrant, cola, liquorice), balanced by strong alcohol and acidity.

Plenty of cassis, black berries, bay leaf (quite noticeable), other herbs, coal/asphalt and tobacco - both nose and palate. Finish is a touch short, balance is good after some air (bit sharp initially) and tannins well integrated. A good wine - maybe lacking excitement?
