For a cheap village wine, outstanding. With a rich fish stew with aioli. I don't agree at all with others saying that it is at thd end of its life. Sweet spot I would say. Beautiful fruit tannin balance. Spicy dark fruits. Very enjoyable indeed.

Nose of macerated dark cherry and a sort of fruit compote. Clearly at the end of its life but not unpleasant. Decanted for 2 hours which probably was more than necessary. Served with grilled rib eye accompanied by a roasted mushroom and cannelloni bean ragu with rosemary and garlic essence. The wine worked well with the dish but it clearly needed the robustness of the food to deal with the tannins which have outlasted the fruit by the end of the meal. Drink up.

Good but this seems at peak and I would drink up in the next few years. No real hurry and not bad for a $13 bottle of wine at age 8. Purple/ruby in color. The nose has dark cherries and black raspberries, minerals and slight licorice. On the palate, a nice acidity. Good fruit but not abundant. Tannins resolved. Some complexity. Works better with food.

Still powerful but less fruity and complex that '07 version at this stage.
