  • German white wine from Mosel: Riesling. 8 % alcohol.

AP number #22 19. 750 ml bottle. Decanted two hours prior to consumption and stored in the decanter during the evening.

    Light golden color.

Ripe, fresh and clean aromas of lemon, pineapple, honey, white flowers, rubber and minerals. Powerful, intense and fresh flavors of lemon, pineapple, minerals, white flowers and petroleum.

Off-dry. Full body. Fresh acidity. Excellent balance. Very good structure. Good complexity. Very good concentration. Good intensity. Very pure.

Long finish with lemon, pineapple and minerals.

An excellent Spätlese, pure, structured, balanced, intense and concentrated, with a great acidity. The acidity is balanced by the sweetness and makes the wine an excellent match with food (seafood paella). The wine is equally good on its own and performs good all the way from fridge to room temperature. It improves with air and should last for a very long time in anyone’s cellar and continue to improve. Very impressive and extremely enjoyable. 95/100

  • Still young but super lovely already. A powerful aromatic collection of citrus, honey, white peaches, ripe apples, flowers. Electrifying and racy sharp acidity with a strong mineral backbone and profile of salinity that cleanses the fruit and sweetness at the start. An absolute delight with a range of food from vegetables, salads, pickles, risotto, grilled black cod, to citrus based desserts.

  • still young as expected. golden yellow in the glass. just a bit of effervescence on the initial pour. petrol on the nose and then honey and overripe red apple. beautiful texture and mouthfeel with apple, honey and citrus on the palate. beautifully balanced with a solid backbone of acidity.. needless to say this has many years to go but it drinks beautifully today as well.

  • Showing nicely today, good balance, sweetness offset by acidity, intense notes of yellow peaches, stone fruit, with some slight tertiary notes of honey and hay. Hard to ask for more when this wine is this good already. Could definitely age further as well.

  • Enjoyed this with curry chicken dinner.
Needs more time to reach full potential though.
