Wonderfull, well-balnced sweetness, taste of burnt caramel wit long acidic aftertaste. Why do I or anyone else still buy expensive port when Madeira exists live and well?

Offered by the glass at Grand Hotel, Stockholm, replacing their longstanding offer of the 1989 vintage of same. Walnut brown color, but already (?) clear evolution at the rim. Figs on the nose, and on the palate. Very pleasant to drink, if not yet delivering wow factors of complexity and mellowness. Long finish. Best paired with the Eneby (aged cheddar-like Swedish cheese) off the menu.

Quick taste. Rich nose with some smoke, chocolate, raisins. Good (not great) balance and length, slightly raisiny aftertaste.
