A Tasting with Colorado Wine Press (Englewood, CO): Vanilla ice cream meets a bizarre fruit salad. Blackberry, plum, black currant, black olive figs, and red licorice. Behind all that, some sweet, wild herbs – with a good handful of sage. This wine is quite interesting, but something about all the aromas just doesn’t work together. Super concentrated. Somewhat alcoholic throughout, especially at the back.

This low production (250 cases) cab from California is excellent; it has a good nose and taste which builds as it sits in the glass. Drink a sip and wait 15 or 20 minutes and take another sip: the taste changes and gets better. This has been what we enjoy about this particular wine-it evolves in the glass like no other wine I know. It's pleasing and fun. Try to get some if you can.

Awsesome once the bottle opened up. Decant for 1+ Hours and it will only get better. Flowers on the nose, but blackberry, coffee and a hint of anise. Nice bottle for the money.
