A tale of two wines. Upon opening, and with a little breathing, not too much. Sort of flat - seemed to be beyond its window.Drank a half bottle, figured that was it. Revisited the bottle a few days later -- it was simply sitting on the counter in the kitchen. Wow, a different wine -- smooth, flavorful, well-integrated.

An excellent QPR: A balance of barnyard and game at the intro. Opens somewhat to plum, tobacco and some minerality. Short finish, not much nose. Probably past its prime.

Delicious. Classic CF aromas of tobacco, smoke, and olives. With some coaxing, a chocolate note emerges. This also displays the classic 'cool fruit' flavors I love in Loire Cab Franc - crisp, crackly spring berries (I guess that means underripe berries?). This bottling is always great value, if you enjoy Loire Cab Franc.

Shows well with food. On first taste, good tannins, seemingly low on acidity and fruit, but comes alive with hints of cherry and kola.

More tannin than fruit left and hat remains has become green somehow. Definitely a wine that was more attractive young.
