Nice ruby core with a maturing rim. Olives, stones and swampy fruit nose. Ripe Grenache that has a bit of the rubber tire over ripe / over manipulated treatment. Bitter finish - could have been a lot better. (87)

NOSE: mostly “dark”; clean; ripe; hint of strawberry jam, but the scents were otherwise “dark” and non-descript.
BODY: dark color of medium-deep depth; medium bodied.
TASTE: spicy; moderately bitter; hints of leather and garrigue; lacks focus; might be a bit over-extracted; not a particularly good showing, and maybe this simply isn’t anything better than a “solid-but-boring” wine. I recommend Holding this wine, moreso because it’s not that great now than because I think it has a bright future.

Light / brown color. Drinking very nicely. Dark fruit with a smooth edge. Will buy other vintages..
