PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs and Day 2 -almost semi-translucent light-med red with a little bricking -exuberant aromatics out of the gate with some Burg funk cherry wet gravel and a touch of spice; dusty cherry on Day 2 -high acidity, med/med- weight but just enough sappiness to keep it from being shrill, bright red fruit slight medicinal twang cracked pepper on a rocky/minerally backbone, med/med- tannins on respectably long finish; still going strong on Day 2 with dusty tart cherry -first time with this producer, solid quality, drinking quite well now in a fresh youthful state, likely many pleasant years ahead of it

Lighter ruby. Brambly red fruit and earth. Light weight, tart red/black fruit, anise, and enough flesh to balance the strong acidity and vein of soil. Like a "Savigny light". I was struck by how much better balanced this was than a 2008 Gouges Premier Cru that I had last night.

Worked well with tourtière during lunch time. Pretty similar note than the 2007 vintage consumed a year ago.
