At home with Valerie, salmon, Brussel sprouts and potatoes. Cork crumbled, strained and decanted, Drank over an hour.
Core garnet color, separating at the rim., some sediment, Nose showing faded red fruits, old furniture and leather. Palate is dusted blackberry, saddle leather, sous bois. Medium weight and finish.
Fully mature, interesting wine, great secondary flavors. I think this will go into a tertiary phase in next 3-5 years (based on this bottle). This bottle was fading a bit more than what other tasters indicate. Drink now.

Really good structure still, which one might not expect for this relatively fruit driven modern style Rioja. A gorgeous mouthful of saline blackberries and mocha, with a nice dry forest floor undertow. slight hints of leather beginning to emerge. Fruit driven but shows its Rioja heart. good complexity and length. Drink now or keep a few more years if you prefer something more tertiary.

Nicely balanced, but lacks the wow factor for me right now. Maybe I have left it too long. I shall tell you how the last 4 bottles go down in the future!

Texture, flavour, power and all in a velvet glove. I loved the grainy ripe tannins. My best bottle yet, and the most exciting.

On top form right now... really enjoyable, into its chocolate phase but still plenty of red fruits. Delicious
