I described this and euologised this wine in my October 2016. This bottle (from the same cellar) was definitely more mature and less incisive, hence the lower rating.

This is a striking blend and in superb condition for a ten year old wine. 55% Pinot Gris, 40% Pinot Blanc and 5% Aligote. Balanced, long and beautifully made. Jim Clendenen at his best

A Rewarding Night with a Generous Winemaker Host (Los Alamos, CA): From a 3-liter. Light-weight, tremendously fresh blend of pinot gris and pinot blanc, plus a touch of aligote. Complex, floral nose. Precise and refined on the palate, with citrus and white stone fruit flavors and ample minerality. Long finish, with a spicy element emerging on the rear palate. Color me impressed with this somewhat unique blend, seemingly having years left to go.

Spectacular. Incredible complexity, presence and intensity. Lots of weight, but carries it off and retains good acidity at 10 years old. Awesome length. Totally unique style.

Happy surprise; drinking well despite (or maybe because of) its age. Deep golden hue, subdued fruit, well balanced oak.
