This little gem popped up on my list of wines ready to drink now. In fact, it is tasting really nice. Luckily, I've still got 2 bottles in my cellar!
Amazing dark red and blue fruit up front; candied violets mid-pallate; nice finish that lingers a moment, then fades into memory. Beautiful deep maroon color; a little alcohol when first open, but it seems to be dissipating. Silky mouthfeel with soft tannins, yet plenty of structure for another year or two. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, blueberry, raspberry and fig. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry, red currant, fig and clove. The body is medium/full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

A foresty, almost piney quality introduces the nose of this wine. Hints of smoke, dark chocolate, black pepper, and herbs add depth to the rich tones of black plum that seem to make up the core of this wine’s aroma.
Ripe and rich on the palate, this wine is also soft and supple. Black pepper, spice, and vanilla mix with dense tones of black plum and dark berries. This is a beautifully balanced wine with precise acidity and a lively quality on the palate.
