Plenty of sediment and smooth. This wine sneaks up on you. The domineering spice of its youth is reserved for a sneak attack 15 seconds into the finish. Red and black fruits. Dried herbs and Oak. A wonderfully interesting wine.

This grape has such an unusual flavor profile. Mostly red berries with some black fruits and a wild tanginess to them. I love that Frick does a single bottling of this varietal. This wine is smooth and enjoyable, although it is now starting on the down side of its drinking window.

Cinsault is such a wild and unique profile. The dusty dark berries as advertised on the back label gives you a good idea what to expect but does not tell the whole story. There is a tanginess to wine that is intriguing, and while some people love it in this single varietal format, I still prefer it as part of a classic CDP blend. This bottle still had another 2 or 3 years of peak to it.

Too old. Most of the bouquet is gone. Pleasant to sip.
