Sweet fruited and simple but good fun. Some stone and acid offsets the fruit and to be honest probably a required outcome. Very fine mouthcoating tannin adds a touch of class and progressively dries the wine out. Not bad depth here.

This is everything you could want from a Rosso di Montalcino. Early drinking style, bright and zippy, lovely ripe berry fruits, spice and smoke. Medium bodied with firm back-end tannic grip, high acidity. This is oh-so drinkable!

Weekly tasting group #014; Sangiovese (@ RvG): Not very expressive bouquet; there is a touch of metal. On the palate much more to discover; ripe red berry juice, some spiciness and earth. Soft tannin and good freshness. Pleasant mouth feel. Well balanced and very pleasurable wine. 85 for now, but when the bouquet is offering a bit more 87 or 88 is possible.

Nose of strawberries, cherries, some spice developed with some air, tons of red fruit; palate showed structured but juicy fruit, has great acidity that makes it the perfect match with our Italian meal. A solid wine. 88-89

Pretty nose of ever so slightly stewed fruits with a touch of earth. Tannic on the palate. Quite tart acidity makes it lip-smacking on the finish. Good for a rosso. 88-89
