P and P. This is the fifth bottle of this in the last few months. This one had the most pronounced green pepper on both aroma and palate, and was the most integrated. Medium bodied with some refeshing acidity still present and some good green citrus enhances the palate. Plenty of length on this as well. The last of the batch.

Deep yellow gold. The nose shows herbal notes, pepper and citrus fruit. Bright, crisp palate laden with acidity. A great mix of honeydew and lemon flavors with a hint of stony minerals. The wine picked up weight and intensity as it aerated. Long finish and no sign of fading anytime soon. Long finish with a hint of anise.

April Fools Dim Sum; 4/2/2011-4/3/2011 (Seattle, WA): The second bottle of this tasted in the last month. Yellow gold. Petrol, white pepper, florals and citrus fruit on the nose. Complex aromatics. Medium bodied. Meyer lemon, sage and just a hint of melon on the palate. High acidity- refeshing mouthfeel. Long finish and a long future despite the age of the bottle.
Very consistent bottling of Gruner Vetliner.

Pale gold. A bit of reduction on the nose along with some banana and lemon verbena. Medium bodied. The palate shows citrus fruit and tons of secondary herbal notes. Sage and cloves. I'm astonished by the freshness and length on this wine. This is delicious and refreshing.
Another region that I really need to dive further into and the selection in Seattle is painfully thin.

A GROSS cork wasn't an accurate indication of a very good wine underneath. The nose was citrus, mushroom and forest floor, giving way to a very fresh and attractive GV with a touch of CO2 left. After the CO2 wore off, it was again citrus and touches of earth and forest, very appealing for the price ($15), esp since it was purchased mature already.
