  • My wife brought this bottle home from tasting 6 months ago as a standout from her day. She wanted to open it tonight and she thought it was disgusting... she could only manage two sips. Odd. Anyway, for me, the aromas definitely are a bit large, with some strange tasting manipulated fruit and odd oak flavor. The palate is creamy, and soft, with strange boozy fruit flavors and a strong vanillian oak thing that's kind of gross. The finish is similar with this odd oak thing that tastes a bit vomity. Overall I at least found this palatable, but it's definitely not the most impressive fruit or style. Day one score, 80 points

This was far superior on day two under a cork. Perhaps the bottle my wife had the day out tasting had been opened for sometime? She too had a taste tonight and liked it again. Far more balance without the hard edges or vomit flavors. Pretty smooth throughout without the over aggressive oak tones. Score for day two.

  • A dark red table wine that is intended to be approachable by the wine novice and satisfying to the rabid wine geek. I think I can say it does both quite well. A dark inky wine with a purple tint, black cherry nose with hints of clove and lilac The flavor is fruit forward with a subtle tannin and acid. A well rounded mouthfeel and a very enjoyable table wine.
