Interlude between the flights of Fleuries and MaVs, this was served blind. Pinot-nose of red-cherries and some flowers. Red-fruited, nice and juicy on the palate. However, this didn't seem to have the depth of some of the Bojos to-come. In anycase, a nice drink.

A little thinner than I last remember, earthy notes, leather, red currant and berry, juicy on the palate - paired with roast duck it positively shone...

Burgundy Tasting (Ivy, George Street, Sydney): Funky, spicy and leather…ripe black and red berry fruit, slightly sulphurous. On the palate it's spicy with rich red cherry and black berry over a cornucopia of other red fruit. Long. Very good. Very impressive.

Elegant restrained earthy nose. On the palate, sweet earth, just a hint of mushrooms, and a bit of spice towards the finish. Ripe juicy fruits consistent with my tastings of 2009 Burgs so far. This was nice, just lacking a bit of depth and complexity to bring it further than 90 points.

Sydney Burgundy Celebration (Sydney, Australia): Pretty nose of cherry and floral notes. Palate is open and giving with plenty of red fruit and some spice. Likeable and very drinkable.
