Acker Rene Rostaing Cote Rotie Retrospective (1978 - 2005) (NY): Old library nose. Some fruit, if seems less than Richard’s note from 2016. Lovely lavendar finish. Reminds me more of a top Bordeaux from that era. 92-93 drink now

Tasted at a Singer & Foy survey of 1983 Rhones. Medium dark red. Nose somewhat light, perhaps even a bit vegetal. Smoky, dense flavor. More potential than present appeal. However it is very good now as well. Balance appears lacking. 5–8–15–5: 83/100.
