Fresh cherry, herbs, some smoke, earth, some floral aromas. Palate is well balanced, fresh. Quite some length. Not a loud wine, shows great elegance. Will keep well.

cherry, a little sweet spice, a touch of volatility perhaps? it smells a little sour and proves so on the palate with a sense of wetness as well. a bit meh on this occasion.

Christmas in July (Ben and Estella's place, Parramatta): Cherry, savoury spice, and jubey red berries with a slightly sour note, earthy. the juicy acidity is a touch lifted, there are talc textured tannins and the fruit strays darker here. Hmm

Burgundy "Masterclass" - Day 2 (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia): [From Coravin] Stem/whole-bunch characters (dried leaves, ash) sit atop a tertiary umami-bomb of bottle-age (mushroom, savoury, forest floor). The palate shows some well-integrated oak treatment (cedar) and fruit development (dried red cherry). The medium(-) level tannins provide a subtle velvety texture to the wine, but the medium level acidity keeps it more to the refreshing end of the spectrum. The finish has a long and very enjoyable length.
