97 Uno de los mejores vinos que he probado. Muy entero. Corcho en excelente estado. Inicialmente domina madera de calidad, pero enseguida se muestra como un vino con raza, equilibrio y una excelente boca, sedosa, casi láctica. Está aún muy joven.

(Mostly) Spanish dinner (Chicago, IL): Lote 007. A stunning wine -- one of my favourites tonight, no doubt. Incredibly perfumed and complex, with layers of fruit and earth, and a purity to the fruit that the older version didn't have. Fantastic silky texture with fine-grained tannins that are well integrated to the wine. Absolutely fantastic, compelling stuff.

2011 release of 91, 94, and 98 vintages. This wine has a nose of fresh cut grass with nitrogenous characteristics at first. Dirty worn saddle leather and black cherry. But.... Somehow this was very appealing! Decanted this frosted bottle. Entry is truffled black cherry, fig and sweet tobacco ash. Dark,lnand brambly, yet youthful sweet and powerful. This was opened up as an accoutrement to those at the next table who were enjoying some Spanish cheeses with Spanish wine and ended up being one of the premiere wines of BOTH tables. I guess sometimes it just goes that way! This wine is a baby IMO. A lot of youthful character yet has quite a bit of jagged, younger stiff oak tannin that still needs plenty of time to grow and integrate. Nice wine!! If you have these, please be in NO RUSH to finish these. There are plenty of years ahead of this one!!
