Tasted at the WINEBID.COM 20th anniversary event in NYC
An aromatic array of fresh flowers ripe fruit give way to a balanced and mineral driven wine. Ripened fruit on the palette with long lingering finish. Feels like this has room to improve.

Jacques Prieur Tasting and Cellar Visit (Meursault): Tasting at Domaine. Ripe fruit with Asian five spice blend and soy, showing to me like a Vosne Grand Cru. Great floral charm, then acidity and minerality which keep the ripe fruit in balance. Very impressive length, impressive textures. An exceptional young Echezeaux. No surprise that the Prieur 2009 Musigny was the start of the lineup, but the surprise (for me) was that this Echezeaux gave the Musigny a close contest.

In magnum. Good spice and balanced ripeness. The typical JP oak is very well managed. Drinking very well. Nice surprise.
