Wow darker yellow, thought it would be past it’s prime but tremendous nose, vanilla, butter, little lemon Great depth in taste classic burgundy long finish. Great with scallops and blush sauce linguini .

Nearly 5 years since my last bottle and this is clearly in a perfect drinking window. 15 minutes in the glass and this was wide open. Very light on its feet with good balance and finish. This won’t improve and will start a slow decline over the next 2-4 years.

My last bottle, and one of my best ones. Razor sharp and focused wine. Tons of power and concentration. Plenty of citrus fruits, dominately lemons on the palate, along with vanilla and caramel.
The last glass fell a little bit apart when it heated up, but that was after 5 hours and I really think temperature was the issue here, not the age of the bottle itself.
Stunning! 50+5+13+17+8 (93p)

(Tasted Blind) Mid yellow. Super intriguing scents and wonderful lifted perfume. There are more classic crushed rocks, wet river stones, slivered almonds and chalk and more left of centre notes of laundered cotton, cold chicken breast, slight aniseed (muscat clone?), light lemon curd and lemon sponge pudding. A quick, piercing acidity on the palate with a dry chalky texture gives the wine's backbone. There is a fullness to the body, with pineapple, crushed stones, with a nutty note pushing to Meursault and aniseed with its robustness pushing to Corton. Quite a toasty note permeates the wine, but the rasping mineral-laden texture and taut line of acid really make the wine sing. For an 11-year-old example, this is still remarkably youthful. Great length of flavour. Very good
