Ready to drink, medium-bodied, classic styled Pomerol with an earthy, truffle, plum, thyme filled nose. Firm on the palate with a straight-forward plummy finish.

Had it for Chinese New Year reunion dinner 2020. Paired with Wagyu A5 girilled on mookata.
Oaky when first open. Decant it for an hour and the oakyness has mellowed down. Sharp red fruit, slight fruit forward, tobacco and mushroom. Some gravel and moist forest floor cane into mind. Medium bodied and acidity. Very balanced and good pairing with the wagyu. For what I’ve paid it’s a good qbr merlot...

Merlot 88 %, Cabernet Franc 12 %, age of vineyards 35 years. Clean, shiny, watery rim. The fruit is mature yet tannins are still dry and tough. After the first taste I decided to air in the decanter for an hour. The wine opened nicely and continued to do so for the whole evening. The wine is quite classical, restrained, dry. Medium body, fresh, fruit more on the red side of spectrum, although there is good pronounced earthy spice, licorice, orange, cherry, apples. Good length, good energy and freshness.
