We tasted this side by side with their 2015. Noticible oak compared to the 2015 which was leaner and more taught. This wine was actually the preferred bottle because of it's greater depth but again, the impact from the oak was very noticable, imparting a strong sweet vanilla overlay to the aging fruit. If you like this style seek out these older bottlings. Apparently they can age nicely (this is a case in point).

Golden yellow color, nice bouquet of tropical fruit notes and some stone, the wine has held up incredibly well despite being 10 years old. Nice fruit and acidity still evident with a long smooth finish.

Deep straw colored with a beautiful nose of ripe tropical fruits, green apple, well integrated oak. Still plenty of acidity and fairly good length on the finish.

Previous note was from a Coravined glass. Opened, given some air time and tasted over an hour. Similar characteristics as reported in my last note, but this did open up and integrate. I had it with grilled cheddar on good sourdough bread and it really shined by itself and with the food. I enjoy these young but they do really well with some bottle age as well.

Straw yellow. This is not much of a step down for being a non single vineyard bottling. Great golden delicious apples, tropical fruit, a little bit of butterscotch and a smooth long finish.
