Drinking well though probably on its way down. Buttered toast. Vanilla apricot popcorn. Waxy. Oak is prominent. Reminds me of a williams selyem chardonnay. Impressive for a 9 year old new world chard. Drink now.

I have long been a fan of DuMOL Chardonnays, and this bottle is another example of why I am continue to be a devotee. Open for 30 minutes, this wine exhibits notes ripe pineapple, lemon oil, tangerine, honeycomb, marzipan, and just a hint of hazelnut. Just the right amount of acidity to balance out the finish. Clearly Californian in scale and nature but not what I would consider overblown or buttery. Best to drink on the colder side though.

Absolutely delicious Chardonnay! The color is showing a mature Chardonnay ready for drinking with a bright yellow color starting to turn dark. This had a wonderful nose of marshmallow, toast and melon with more of the same on the palate. Ended with a nice long lingering finish. I don't remember having one of their appellation wines that I thought was just as good as there reserve bottling but this one definitely was!

Another good outing for this wine. Very nice chard, no heavy oak, just nice fruit. Almost polar opposite of a Lewis.
