Not a huge fan of this Chateau in many years, but this is a good one. Major benefit from 2 hours in the decanter as initially I found it austere with tannins eclipsing the fruit With time it developed a lovely dark fruit/green tomato nose and the on the palate the fruit shone thru with black raspberry leading the way. The tannins became more subtle and fine It has many years ahead of it I would say

Dark ruby hue with slight brickish tinge. Big bouquet of dark fruit (including blackberry, cassis, and plum). Plus body, plus tannins, plus acid. Elegant with a medium-length finish. Exemplary Right Bank Bordeaux. 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc.

Rich nose with a bit of funk that I'm hoping will blow off. Beside that there's plenty of ripe mulberries and blackberries, compost, cedary oak and a suggestion of mint. Full-bodied, this is rich and round and absolutely delicious and ready to drink! More ripe black fruits and some scorched earth on the palate and a slight salinity in the finish. Excellent! This has weakened in the decanter. Decant and drink within an hour for best results. Drink now-2026 92

Deep ruby. Red fruit pie nose. While it was very smooth on day one, on day two it has picked up some of the hotness of the 2009. Still, overall, more agreeable, less extracted. Weird. It was really singing on day one.
