What a wine, in terms of price-quality ratio this must be one of the gems in my wine cellar. The wine is already perfectly ready to drink, with a perfect balance between the nose and the palate, that ripe dark fruit, with leather and cassis in the nose. In the mouth, it's not overpoweringly strong, but beautifully building up and especially very long and horizontally powerful in length without losing its strength. The wine is drinkable now, but it will also be perfect in 5 years. If you drink this as an everyday wine, you will not be disappointed! This is a must-have in your wine cellar."

Darkest red --- Nose elegant, some sour cherry, elegant wood notes, nice perfume, salty breeze, unripe plums, some marzipan, hint of bay leaves --- Palate fresh, watery, quite acidic, red fruit, some tartness, some black tea --- Finishes pretty long on a fine fruit-mineral nerve. Classy vine, young, shows potential.
Day 3: Gaining more punch and deliciousness. Very nice. Raising from 91 to 92.

Super young but bought one at the state store just to try and it seemed approachable with Coravin so opened well in advance and drank as part of holiday party line up alongside 15 Malescot, 15 La Dominique just to name a couple. This should prove to be an outstanding vintage for Barde-Haut which has a very nice style of wine that seems pretty consistent across vintages and a wine that I consider to be one of the better values in St. Emilion. Might buy more. 93++

Bright fruit, tobacco, earthiness. Gently Acidic light/medium body - notes of citrus, wood, black current

Lots of upside but brutally tannic now. Pretty berries, oak, spice, baked bread, but woof the tannins. Probably 92+ in 10-15 years.
