  Wow, still firing on all cylinders. Aged fruit, some tea, a dash of oak. Just took two pulls on the cork, and better it got. With a rare seared duck breast, and a nice plate of cheeses. Yum!

  Really nice fully mature bottle of Pomerol. A little orange on the rim, notes of black cherry, cassis, leather, cedar, chocolate and Bordeaux dust. Soft and smooth, nicely balanced and resolved, maybe a little past its peak, but so easy to drink now. Showed well and was enjoyed by everyone.

  Oeil rubis au pourtour tuilé
  Nez vieillot à l’ouverture puis en aération sur le menthol, le bois de sental, le cuir, la feuille morte, les épices et une touche de cerise
  Attaque douce sur le fruit rouge et le cuir
  Toucher doux, fondu et soyeux. L’ensemble est complexe, la cerise forme une symbiose avec le vieux, la terre, le cuir, les feuilles mortes et une touche d’épices
  Finale gouleyante, suave et douce, sur le fruit rouge et les épices
  Delicieux, bouteille à maturité mais le tertiaire m’indique clairement qu’il est en fin de plateau vers le bas de la pente. Beaucoup de plaisir

  My favorite of 4 right bank reds. Super delicious, in a great spot. Wonderful fruit and savory qualities, with nothing in decline and great balance. This is how you hope an older bottle of wine will show when you open it.

  I was a little apprehensive about this, my last bottle of this, but the color was youthful. Definitely not over the hill, but probably at the end of its peak, a mature, soft merlot with hints of forest floor, leather and soft cherry/plum. Average of 6 ratings: 92.0
