Opened flat and watery, then slowly added weight with a 2 hr decant -- this needed at least an hour. Pepper/spice, dried black fruit, plum, leather. Improved from the last bottle consumed in 2015. Great syrah still holding on -- I dont think this will improve, but it wont fall off a cliff either.

Smooth dark fruits that are no longer primary, getting lots of bacon notes on the nose. The acidity has really dropped off making this come across quite mellow.

Agree with other reviewers .. this is hit it's peak or heading down right now and I also don't see this improving but within the next few months should be a really good drink still.

No issue with fine loose sediment as with previous bottle. Fruit has receded some more since last year, leaving tar and burnt rubber notes more prominent. This is now on a downside slope and I would consume these soon.

My last bottle. Drinking well now. Meaty/dark fruit/licorice aromas, with matching flavors. Fully integrated medium acid/tannins. I don't see this further improving with age but should drink well through its 10th birthday.
