Dark cherry with purple-ruby tinge. The nose is intense and fruity with red currants, black pepper, and a bit of liquorice. Medium-body, good acidity supported by a bit too much structure brought by the somewhat granular and insistent tannins. Yet, the mid-palate lacks the necessary flesh and the finish is relatively short for aglianico. Overall, nice soft, juicy aglianico with good structure but lacks the depth and body of the very good ones. Much preferred the Il Falcone from the same producer.

Maybe the oak is all that is left. Probably should have drank this sooner. Very good still with my old cheddar.

Looks like this was the last bottle in the community. Very nice for the price ($18CDN). Not very deep, but nice colour. Would try again.

Typical Aglianico, with good fruit intensity, freshness, leather and a medium length finish. Very nice.
