VA, the fruit is starting to dry out but the acidity (not the VA, just the Tartaric) keeps the wine precise and savory. time to drink up now. oak fully integrated, fairly stern example

Colour garnet, no bricking. On the nose, some earthiness, some bramble, back fruits maybe. No funk. On the palate, lovely acid, real vigour to it. A little drying on the finish. Interestingly, while I really enjoyed this, my fellow diner (who normally very much enjoys N Rhone) found it too thin and sour. I’m not sure if this is fair but her palate is typically better than mine.
