Newark Wine and Dine 2015 (Newark, DE): Light, fruity, and really lacking in varietal character. As a cocktail white it might be servicable, but little to recommend here.

you'd find in a CC Ava Viognier, seemed much more approachable on day 2, releasing some of the flora and pepper spices, and taming the acid. Not sure if age will bring this up to the bar standard.

Like your Viognier with mineral notes and acid? This is perfect. While there is sweet tree fruit on the attack it's immediately backed up with the acidity and mineral flavor. Very clean and crisp. Excellent QPR and strongly recommended.
