A real Viognier, not tamed but not in your face either. Very nice with lightly breaded Chicken Marsala. Not a long finish, but full flavored enough to hold up to a flavorful chicken dish.

The second of two Zaca Mesa offerings that we purchased on our visit there some three years ago already. An interesting vibrant slightly greenish-gold. My current impression is fairly consistent with the note I made at the time, which shows good durability (viogniers not known for great age mostly). Rather leaner than some viogniers, somewhat lacking that tropical vibe. Pretty nice all the same.

Unusual for us, as we drank this bottle over two different nights, about ten days apart. Not the best Viognier ever, but still quite nice. Some citrus on the nose, more of that and some green apple on the palate. I know, that seems odd, but it worked well enough

This was a surprise to me, given that I picked it up at Costco for $13. Went well with Mexican food and company. Refreshing and crisp with notes of white peaches. None of the bitter notes that I would expect to get at this price point.

That telltale Viognier richness both on the nose and the palette. It's like a fleshy version of white floral honey perhaps. I find it a bit rich for the evening I'm having right now (the Dierberg SB is a much easier sipper), but it's not a bad wine.
