light citrus nose. Palate has nice level of acid and a little citrus and grapefruit – very restrained and just average joe…I think the low price matches. At MLCC in Winnipeg.

This wine (a blend of 75% Pinot Grigio and 25% Verduzzo delle Venezie) was serially tasted over two hours at an Italian white wine theme tasting. I brought the bottle, so my impressions are unblinded. The robe is pale yellow with a clear rim. Clean nose, showing moderately intense pineapple, papaya and grass aromas. Light-bodied on the palate, with good acidity and bright fruit flavors. The middle palate is intact and leads to a medium-length, crisp finish. This is a pleasant, light white wine...simple but perfect for al fresco summer dining during the summer. Drink now.

The nose showed floral notes with sweet apple, peach, lemon rind and a hint of herbs. On the palate, it was medium weight, slightly sweet yet refreshingly crisp with flavors of peach nectar, pineapple and hints of spice. The finish was staying, yet refreshing with white stone fruits.

Simple and enjoyable for what it is. I had purchased this with the intention of drinking and/or cooking with it - it ended up being the former. Not something I would purchase again, but my wife had a third serving and so there you go. Medium-bodied with avg + acidity, and avg + balance. The white synthetic cork (compliments of Masi Technology, ha!) is simply heinous - go to a screw cap, please. $12, 13% abv, drink thru 2011.
