Tasting surprisingly young at 14 years. Still quite primary with lots of cassis on the nose. Clean linear profile and well balanced. A joy to drink now but interested to see how this will further develop.
This one showed just a touch more maturity than the 2012 that I had recently. Dark berry fruit, iodine and black olives on the nose; . Balanced palate with blackberry and earthy notes on the palate, good viscosity and ripe tannins still hanging around. Moderately long finish. More approachable than the 2012 but still has years to go.

Mid+ garnet to mahogany rim. Intense aromas of spice, underbrush, licorice and cassis. More cassis root and cinnamon as wine opens. Full-bodied, richly textured, there is plenty of fruit with black cherry, blackcurrant and Boysenberry. Some savoury notes add complexity, and there is a little cigar box spiced oak elements. Gentle alcohol, the tannins are dense and finely knit, giving a powdery impression. The finish is persistent with sweet spice, chocolate cake and even some floral notes! Drinking really well. Glad I have a few more bottles.

Deep ruby in the glass. Quite subtle on the nose compared to Cullen's riper vintages - more fresh berry fruit, cedar, wet soil and fresh tobacco. Almost lightweight on the palate, very soft, feather-like texture. Tannins are still very much expressed, as well as the acidity, but the depth is a bit weaker than previous vintages I've tried. Not a bad wine at all, just very different from the ordinary style that Cullen brings to the table.

Elegant nose. Wonderful fine grained tannins and great example of ripe cabernet fruit, with no bitter astringency. Long clean finish.
