I liked the nose despite the obvious presence of sulfur. Interestingly there's a red berry component on that nose like cranberry/raspberry with fern, sweet licorice. Mineral note. Great acidity on the palate. Almost a tannic sensation. similar to the nose, maybe with a stronger herbal (and by herbal I don't mean green or under ripe) component. Lemon/Lime. I like the wine, unmistakably Sancerre, but it's very straightforward and lacks depth and complexity.

Light color. Slightly oxidized aromas with honey, spices and some liquorice. Light bodied and tart for a Francois Cotat.

Past it's prime. Lacking the fresh and crispness of the 2015.

Classic Sancerre, well balanced, quaffable, not overly interesting

Totally closed when popped. Opened for 2 hours. Started to open up with nice lemon and melon medium acid.
