Light to medium mahogany Distinct tertiary notes of Sous-Bois, stewed red fruit, leather and undergrowth. As the wine opened in decanter there is more marinated red fruits with stone dust/mineral and hung meat. A gentle tug of tannins tempers a soft succulent texture with sweetness and ripeness in the mid-palate. Medium-bodied, the fruit has superb clarity of fruit, some density and a long, persistent finish. A wonderfully harmonious, fluid wine with tertiary notes, juicy, plump red fruit underpinned with a fine, fresh acidity and a minerally crunch.

Terroir-istes International - France, Burgundy, Echézeaux & Vougeot (Rodwell House): A light crimson red with an orange rim. A lovely perfumed, bright nose filled with rhubarb, black cherry, Raspberry and strawberry. An attractive and focused entry, this full-bodied wine gushes grace and flair. There is muscle and power, clean and sappy with excellent intensity. Expressive with a good depth of flavour without being concentrated, this svelte wine has an incredibly delineated delicate feel yet has richness oozing out. Flavours of cherry and red fruits abound. Superfine, the tannins is precise and tightly wound and lead to a persistent farewell! Amazing!

Unbranded cork, bit of mould under the foil but no off-smells and wine doesn't seem to be affected. Colour is a rich red with orange glints at the rim, first signs of ageing? Very bright and clear. Nose is raspberries, aniseed and typical pinot mushroomy forest floor. Palate is now very complex, rich, smooth, red fruits, prominent tannic frame, refreshing, long aftertaste fading to beetroot and soy sauce (!). Delicious and satisfying. Very happy to have the rest of the case to enjoy over the next few years. This cost me ~£20 a bottle and massively over-delivers at that price.

13.5 % alcohol, not decanted, quite a dark colour for pinot, lovely nose, raspberries, beetroot, aniseed, invites you to dive in. Really nice flavour, smooth, raspberries, spicy aftertaste, very fine tannins, expands in the mouth, quite long. Seems to be drinking nicely now.

Nice floral nose with mixed red berries, initial attack pretty nice and smooth but palate lacks complexity and unresolved oak. A fine Ech but wont win any awards.
