medium yellow. sweet lemon fruit -Meyer lemon and wet rock nose. Sweetish fruity attack, concentrated maturing fruit, lemon candy. Acid is good, and this has a mineral finish. This is good and interesting, ripe vintage Chablis. a little bit of SO2 tickle.

Pale yellow. When first poured it was gunpowder and little else in the nose. After 30 minutes it showed lemon cream and wet stone. Lemony palate, white peach. Mineral finish a little grip, too.

Classic lean Chablis with lean lemony fruit, sea shell, and searing acidity. This was better after a few minutes at room temp and should improve in the next 2-3 years.

The Verticals Tasting at La Paulée 2016 (The Fairmont, San Francisco): Magnum. Yellow. More tropical nose of pineapple. Richer, rounder, and lower acidity than the 2012. Little Chablis character until some late citrus. Just not enough structure here.

Structure is strong - the acidity and minerality. Nose is lemon and peaches. The palate has herbs, too.
