  A very much underrated wine from a cool climate region. It is a very well made wine. A reductive nose which is soon followed by an earthy complexity combined with spice, berries and raspberries. Good acidity to complement everything else. An excellent example of a good Australian Pinot made in a more lean and in your face manner (but with elegance and class). An excellent drop. Drink now or another 3+ years.

Le nez et hyper séduisant, ça pinotte sans chichi, avec une intensité olfactive appréciable. Au nez, j'aurais probablement pensé tout de suite à un Bourgogne 1er cru d'une année solaire (2009 ou 2015 par exemple). La bouche laisse peut-être deviner une provenance autre que bourguignonne, de par sa concentration de fruit, sa finale un peu chaude et ses tannins très souples.En final, l'acidité bien balancée vient donner une fraîcheur à l'ensemble. Pour moi on est devant un vin sérieux, assez complexe et délicieux, loin des pinots du nouveau monde souvent caricaturaux (Sonoma style). C'est un vin qui vient d'une région fraîche d'Australie et ça parait. Ça reste une alternative très intéressante à un cru classé de Bourgogne si on aime les millésimes chaleureux. Pourrait peut-être se complexifier un peu avec l'âge, mais je ne le saurais jamais, c'était ma seule bouteille. 91+

  Un merveilleux pinot! On retrouve une belle complexité, des fruits confits, de la fraise, une pointe de pruneau et de tabac. En bouche les tanins sont soyeux, mais présents. L'acidité est médium +, ce qui offre une bonne structure et fraîcheur pour un 2009. On goûte de la framboise, de la griotte avec une touche de menthe et d'épice. La longueur est intéressante et il y a une bonne concentration. Prendre la prochaine bouteille d'ici 5 ans. Délicieux avec une raclette.

  Terrific wine. Forget about it losing its way or on decline. I drank it over 4 nights and it was awesome on night 4 ... think good for 5+ years yet.
  
  Complex and mouth filling. Don't hesitate to buy this wine if you can find it.

  Looked dark and youthful. Smelt and tasted delicious, but started to fall apart after a few hours. Maybe drink now, maybe hold for ethereal beauty? Classic beguiling Pinot.
