Stunning ruby red colour. Glowing. Rose, rasberry, strawberry, bright plums, earth, undergrowth and minerals. Really aromatic and long. Exceeded expectations and is certainly up with the better 1er Crus Burgundy that I've tried. I think I preferred this to the Kooyong Meres of the same vintage. Has aged brilliantly. Just the Haven to go now!

Cool profile with pure strawberries, red cherries, rasperries, flowers and light minerals. Medium finish. Very expressive aromatics. Bright acidity. Well made. Paired well with my pork dish and grilled vegetables. Very nice bottle and a bargain at $30.

1st bottle we tried of this (a year ago) was flawed, and that put me off trying the next...which was in one way a shame (as this is drinking beautifully right now) but in another way a blessing as I only have 1 more bottle, and I think this may even get slightly better....
Poured directly from the bottle after an hour open in the fridge (as it had warmed up too much in the kitchen). Fabulously clean, pure pinot, with red fruit forward (not overly so) and some darker fruit notes and spice in there too - all offset with just enough acidity and tannin for me. Finish was very, very moreish (with great length too) and polished off nearly the whole bottle without realising it (just a glass left for today). Very refreshing indeed - yum.

This is a dark fruited, sumptuous, refreshing and beautifully balanced wine. It is still knit together by a fine spine of tannin, and unlike many Australian pinot's, has a nose that is pure, big and quite complex.
