  Medium red, clear edge.
  Rich ripe fragrance , well blended earth oak spice cassis and a little tar.
  Soft fleshy palate , fair acid, soft but distinctive tannins. Certainly past its prime, but drinks beautifully nonetheless . Rich ripe classic Cabernet flavours , cedary , mulberry , soft tobacco leaf zest. A bit of a test to keep it this long but to be fair it has positively surprised.

  Poured by Alex Yan-thank you Alex and served with a bison steak. First time tasting this wine, nose of blackberry, black cherry, spring flowers, and a touch of sage, more of the same on the palate, failed to live up to the expectations gleaned from the gorgeous Bordeaux nose, long finish.

  Kept this one for a long time ... bought it a high-end grocery in Paris over 10 years ago. And not surprisingly this had fantastic perfumed floral aromatics that seem to come with significant bottle age. But it was better on the nose, as the palate was a bit more common - medium bodied, brightish but sharp, with flavors of cassis and olive tapenade.
