A modern Rioja drunk at a galician restaurant, dark dense almost black colour, very fruitforward but showing all the components of a RIoja Reserva, herbs, spices, coconut from the oak, quite delicious on the midpalate with some energetic depth, more a modern style Rioja but tasty and a good pairing to classic spanish dishes, ending long with some mineral hints and lively acidity, this bottle is singing now but I think this wine can easily be enjoyed over the next decade, very good QPR, **(*+-?), 88-91+?

Colour: Intense ruby colour. Nose: Needs some time to open up then you get a nice combination of red and dark fruit like red/black currant, a bit of leather, licorice, tobacco and some spices. Palate: A bit of vanilla & oak, good acidity, medium+ body, not a bad showing. I also recognize the bit of heat on the back-end like Zweder said it before but it wasn´t that obviously for me. Still some tannins left, 5-10 years more time to drink with pleasure.

In the mouth ripe juicy red fruits, herbs and spices, some pleasant oak, good balance between acidity and sweetness. A bit heat in the finish, but overall a good wine, certainly for the price.

A bit hot and disjointed, disappointing compared to previous bottle.

Black fruit, a bit of spice and sweet vanilla from the oak, a hint of heat on the finish. In a decent place now and for a few years
